Since I was a young boy, I have loved to write. I would often write about anything and escape into my own world. It was from there that I began to realize my love for a stated reality.
I have always had a liking for history but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to use it as a way to shape a story. There are many issues in our society today and what better way to face them than to see it from a different angle?

Stephen L. Newman graduated from the University of Southern California with Magna Cum Laude honors. As a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Newman initially represented talent and production entities in a number of major motion pictures. More recently, he has concentrated on representing foreign interests and U.S. citizens in significant controversies with various tax authorities.
Mr. Newman has been married for 52 years, has 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He and his wife reside in Orange County, California.
Inside Stephen’s Mind
During my days as a tax accountant, one day I sat there and began to think if this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My answer was no. I wanted to write.
I began my journey as an author and writer— sitting at my desk across from my fish tank and tree with lights, listening to every type of music from Beethoven to Warren Zevon. I knew I had to share the stories and characters that were on my mind.
My mission is to take you to this realm of stated reality along with me—to give you another set of eyes at the issues we are faced with every day. As for my fellow writers, I have advice for you: Just write. It isn’t a trip to Paris—it’s hard. If you want to do this, everyone has great ideas, but you need to take the time to sit and write.

“The Qumran Cave 12 Manuscript” centers around a young archaeologist who discovers a manuscript in an ancient cave that predates the Dead Sea Scrolls by over 1000 years. The discovery leads the archaeologist, Samantha James, on a path filled with treachery and betrayal and raises the possibility that the very core of the Judeo-Christian religion may be a well-conceived masquerade. Samantha lives to tell where there is visibility, there is justice for, in actuality, our Lord God is not what we have been led to believe.

My first Historical Fiction novel, “A Failed Experiment: America’s Final Resolution to Its Social Time Bomb”, references Abraham Lincoln’s ambivalence on slavery and race relations as well as notable historical events to create a parallel view. Now a diverse cast of characters are on a roller coaster ride of international and political intrigue, romance, drugs, and ambition against the backdrop of white-hot racial relations, the president of the United States must ultimately devise a solution to still the ticking of the interracial “time bomb.”
